To enhance the prevention of crimes such as misuse or break of a key by others after losing it by forming the main body of a key for an electric unlocking device into a shape which looks different from key or reducing the exposed portion of the operating portion for unlocking.
A main body of a key 4 for an electric lock decoding device is formed to a cylindrical shape having a cross section coinciding with a shape of a lock hole 52 of an operating portion 1 of unlocking device of an electric lock. When a lid 51 is opened and a key 4 is inserted to a key hole 52 of a lock plate 53, a key insertion confirming switch 11 in a deep part of the key hole 52 is pushed in and a signal receiving section has a standby state waiting the unlocking signal. If a signal send-out switch 41 of the key 4 is pressed in this state, an unlocking signal of a particular frequency is sent out from a signal transmitting section. A signal receiving section of the electric unlocking device 1 receives the signal, it is confirmed by a signal judging section and unlocking occurs. Since the main body of the key 4 has a shape dissimilar to an ordinary key, it is not easily misused even after losing it; also, the exposed portion of the operating portion 1 of the electric unlocking device is very small, it is hardly broken or deformed thereby preventing the crimes considerably.
