Abstract:
To adjust irradiance of laser beam to an unnecessary cell at an inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: An unnecessary cell removal device comprises: a support part 3 for supporting a cultivation container P in which cells C including unnecessary cells are stored; a laser beam radiation device 5 which can be switched between a radiation state capable of radiating a laser beam to the unnecessary cells and a non-radiation state not radiating the laser beam to the unnecessary cells; a movement device 4 for moving the support part 3 or the laser beam radiation device 5 for relatively moving the radiation position of the laser beam to the unnecessary cells; and a control device for controlling an operation of the laser beam radiation device 5 and the movement device 4, for radiating the laser beam to the unnecessary cells. The control device changes a ratio of a time in which the laser beam radiation device 5 is in the radiation state in a unit time when radiating the laser beam to the unnecessary cells while relatively moving the radiation position of the laser beam to the unnecessary cells by the movement device 4, for adjusting irradiance of the laser beam to the unnecessary cells.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
