Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temperature rise due to frictional heating during cutting of an unvulcanized sleeve, suppress degradation of operation efficiency, suppress deterioration in quality of an unvulcanized rubber belt, and further, to suppress deterioration in quality of a wrapped V-belt manufactured with the unvulcanized rubber belt as a raw material.SOLUTION: A rotation mechanism 11 comprises a rotor 22 rotating with a main shaft 16, and is constituted so that an unvulcanized sleeve 105 is arranged on an outer periphery of the rotor 22. A cutting mechanism 12 comprises a rotary cutter 36 with a blade disposed on its outer periphery, that is composed of a porous material and has multiple blow holes 44 on at least a surface. When the rotary cutter 36 is rotated and pressed against the unvulcanized sleeve 105 rotating with the rotor 22, the unvulcanized sleeve 105 is cut in a circumferential direction so that an unvulcanized rubber belt 106 is formed. A water supply mechanism 13 wets at least a part of the rotary cutter 36 in order to supply water to the blow holes 44 on the surface 36a of the rotary cutter 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
