Abstract:

To provide a technique for improving the reliability in controlling the motion of a member which is displaced to change a combustion ratio.

In a piston pin 60 at a connection of a piston 20 and a connecting rod 30, an approximately linear motion mechanism 50 for linearly moving the connection along the axial center line of a cylinder is connected. An eccentric bearing 70 is placed in parallel with the piston pin 60 and a compression ratio is changed by adjusting the eccentric position of the eccentric bearing 70. The eccentric position of the eccentric bearing 70 is changed by switching the first state where the eccentric bearing 70 is fixed to the piston 20 and the second state where the eccentric bearing 70 is fixed to the connecting rod 30.
