Abstract:

PURPOSE: The vegetable fiber separator that is provided with a drum for crushing the vegetable stems, a water tank for storing the water formed when the stems are crushed, the dipping part and the squeezer, thus utilizing the water separated from the vegetable to wash the fiber and save the water consumption.

CONSTITUTION: The chips of, e.g., banana stems are fed to hopper 3 and fall down in the chamber 21 where they are crushed by the rotating edges 27. The water from the banana stems passes through net 35 and stays in the sink 11 and the cakes are squeezed with rollers 61 and expeled from the outlet 63. In the meantime, the crushed fibers are transferred by the edges 27 on the drum 19 to the fiber outlet 37 and fall down to the water sink 11 where the fibers are washed and taken out of the outlet 67. Then, the fibers are sent through the inlet 71 into the conveying cylinder 69 and taken out of the outlet opening 73 by the screw 75. Further, the fibers are squeezed with rollers 77 and 91 in the squeezer 17 and sent to the receiver 97.
