To provide a vegetable seedling of a solanaceae fruit vegetable, especially tomato, capable of being used in production in which a sole seedling thereof bears several kinds of fruits, capable of being efficiently produced by simple methods, for example, removing a tip part of the seedling itself, cutting the seedling itself into two or more portions, subjecting the cut portion to grafting or combination of the grafting and cuttage, using a special grafting tool, and excising a tip part of a lateral bud, capable of being commercialized in a high ratio, and capable of being given at a sharply reduced production cost.
This vegetable seedling is produced by removing (along a cutting-plane line) the tip part (A3) of each of the seedlings (A1) of two or more kinds of the solanaceae fruit vegetable seedlings (A1), cutting (along a cutting-plane line) the seedling (A1) into two or more of the portions after recognizing the lateral bud (A5), subjecting each of the cut portions (A6, B6, C6) to hybridization grafting (7) onto each kind of the cut portion (C6-1) having an own-root by using a special wire materials (12a, 12b), and adjusting a growth balance between each of the lateral buds (A5, B5, C5) of a grafted seedling (8) by excising (along a cutting-plane line) the tip part (A13) of the lateral bud.
