Abstract:
To prevent a vehicle from being stolen when automatic lock for a vehicle door cannot be performed in accordance with programed lock.SOLUTION: According to a vehicle control apparatus 10 of the present invention, a programmed locking reception unit 13 receives programmed locking for automatically locking a door provided at a vehicle 50. Then, if predetermined locking conditions are established, then a control unit 11 controls a door locking apparatus 35 to lock the door. If on the other hand the predetermined locking conditions are not established, then the control unit 11 outputs a start prohibition command to an engine drive apparatus 29 to prohibit starting an engine 28 of the vehicle 50. While starting the engine 28 is being prohibited, even if a start switch 39 is operated, the engine drive apparatus 29 does not start the engine 28. Then, after a correct password is input on a touch pad 38 of a navigation device 37, then the control unit 11 releases the start prohibition of the engine 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
