Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that prevents over-voltages from being applied to components such as an inverter, by regenerative power generation by a motor generator accompanying torque reduction during speed change.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 50 is applied in a vehicle 90 equipped with a MG 60 as a power source, an inverter 40 which converts power inputted from a main battery 20 and supplies the power to the MG 60, and a transmission 84 which changes speed of power outputted by the MG 60 and transmits the power to a driving shaft 91. The vehicle control device 50, when executing torque reduction by which torque of the MG 60 is reduced during speed change by the transmission 84 and driving torque to be transmitted to the driving shaft 91 is reduced, restricts regenerated power generation amounts by the MG60 to a regeneration limiting amount or less, a predetermined upper limit value, so that voltages which are regenerated by the MG 60 accompanying the torque reduction are below withstand voltages of the main battery 20, components of the MG 60 and components of the inverter 40 or components of a circuit to be connected to the inverter 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
