Abstract:
To provide a technique of improving the visibility of an image or object viewed by a driver on a sight line of the driver toward a display in which a transmission type display unit and a light control film are laminated.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle display device according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a display 20 and a control unit 52. The display comprises: a transmission type display unit 40 which transmits light and displays an image; and a light control unit 30 which is laminated on the transmission type display unit on the side opposite to a driver with respect to the transmission type display unit and adjusts the light transmissivity for transmitting the light. The control unit improves the visibility of any of an image displayed on the transmission type display unit, an image displayed on a light control film and an object viewed by the driver through the display on the sight line of the driver toward the display by controlling at least one of the image displayed on the transmission type display unit and the light transmissivity of the lighting control film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
