Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in vehicle behavior by equalizing torque responsiveness of right and left wheels in a vehicle drive device including a gear device 30 for amplifying torque difference from two electric motors 2L, 2R to right and left drive wheels.SOLUTION: In a vehicle drive device provided with a gear device 30 in which two planetary gear mechanisms are coaxially combined between two electric motors 2L, 2R and right and left drive wheels loaded on a vehicle and independently controllable, and a specific element of one of the planetary gear mechanisms and a specific element of the other planetary gear mechanisms are connected to each other by a first connecting member 31 and a second connecting member 32 to amplify torque difference from two electric motors 2L, 2R to the right and left drive wheels, the geometry of the first connecting member 31 and the second connecting member 32 are determined so that twisting angles of the first connecting member 31 and the second connecting member 32 become equal to each other when equal torque is input to the first connecting member 31 and the second connecting member 32 from the electric motors 2L, 2R to equalize torque responsiveness of the right and left wheels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
