Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective use of a navigation device.
SOLUTION: Map data including data on an area boundary line BL is stored while image data on a plurality of installations or points is stored in groups so as to correspond to combinations of categories and areas. When an automobile arrives at or passes through the boundary line, based on the history of the category of a destination and/or a stop-off spot set by a user in the past, the category of a destination or a stop-off spot desired by the user is presumed. Images of a plurality of installations or spots are displayed which are held so as to correspond to the combination of a new travel area with the presumed category.
