PURPOSE: To provide a vertically movable shelf device in which a housing shelf can be housed between both side plates, and the housing shelf is difficult to shake, and smoothly longitudinally or vertically moved.

CONSTITUTION: Sliders 2 held in such a manner as to be capable of vertically sliding are provided on the inside of both side plates 1, the lower ends of link pieces 3 are pivotally fixed to the upper and lower parts of both the sliders 2 so that each link piece 3 can be longitudinally oscillated, the upper end of each link piece 3 is pivotally fixed to the outside of both side plate parts 5 of a housing shelf 4, and parallel link mechanisms 6 by the link pieces 3 are constituted on both sides of the housing shelf 4. The housing shelf 4 can be moved forward from between both the side plates 1 by the parallel link mechanisms 6 on both sides, and also vertically moved by the sliders 2, and the lower end parts of the ropes 8 of suspending mechanisms 7 for energizing the sliders 2 upward are connected to the sliders 2. An auxiliary housing shelf 9 is connected to the lower end part on the opposite side of the rope bodies 8 of the suspending mechanisms so as to be balanced.
