To provide a vibration compaction apparatus widely applicable to concrete placing for closed spaces having a variety of largeness, not to mention that it contributes labor saving, and to provide a vibration compaction method.
The vibration compaction apparatus 10 which is equipped with a concrete placing pipe 11 whose upper end part is connected to a concrete placing hose 4 and whose lower end part is inserted in the closed space A of a steel shell structure 1; a plurality of telescopic support arms 14 whose base end parts are attached, in the upper end side of this concrete placing pipe 11, to the axis so that it can be swayed around the axis; and vibrator main bodies 15 which are installed in the tip parts of the support arms, through cables 22, so as to hang down and inserted in the closed space A through the insert openings 3 that have beforehand been formed in the steel shell structure 1 is inserted in the closed space A, and, while monitoring the packing height with two sensors 28 fitted to the vibrator main bodies 15, the vibration compaction apparatus 10 is raised each by a predetermined distance, and the pouring of concrete C and the application of vibration by the vibrator main bodies 15 are conducted.
