To provide a vibration control device capable of always exhibiting the expected vibration control function, by effectively preventing the occurrence of a surging phenomenon, without increasing weight of the device.
This vibration control device includes a cylindrical body 1, a core member 2 concentrically arranged with the cylindrical body 1 by deviating to one side of the axis of the cylindrical body 1, and body rubber 3 for connecting an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 1 to the core member 2 over the whole periphery, forming an outer surface of the body rubber 3 in a truncated-cone shape of projecting to the core member 2 side in a longitudinal section including the body rubber axis, and preventing the transmission of input vibration to a vibration transmitting side member by mainly absorbing the input vibration in the axial direction from a vibration generating side member by shearing deformation of the body rubber 3. The body rubber 3 is constituted by integrally fixing mutual two kinds of rubber elastomers 3a and 3b mutually different in rubber hardness in the peripheral direction of the cylindrical body 1.
