Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform the check inversion driving or column inversion driving of a display panel without applying burden on a driver.
CONSTITUTION: Driver units 1, 2 perform the polarity judging processing of video signals R, G and B in a prescribed period, and output an AC video signal. The display panel 3 incorporates a row type gate line, a column type data line, a picture element provided in the cross part of them, a vertical driving circuit and a horizontal driving circuit, etc. The vertical driving circuit scans the gate line sequentially at every vertical period, and selects the picture element. The horizontal driving circuit samples the AC video signal to the data line, and writes the AC video signal on a selected picture element. A pair of driver units 1, 2 perform polarity inversion processing on common video signals R, G and B, separately. A timing generator 4 outputs plural AC video signals (R1, G1 and B1), (R2, G2 and B2) with different phases by controlling the driver units 1, 2. The horizontal driving circuit incorporated in the display panel 3 samples one of the plural AC video signals with different phases to the data line.
