Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an edit point by the frame and to enable a free edit by connecting a recorded video signal reproduced from a magnetic tape, taking the edit point as a reference to an edit video signal, generating encoding data and selectively recording these signals in the magnetic tape at a position of the edit point.
SOLUTION: A reproducing signal obtained by magnetic heads ADA1 and ADB2 is selectively processed at the time of an insert edit and a magnetic tape 1 is reproduced. After video data DV1 are compressed by a data compression circuit 19, an ECC encoder 20 also generates an ECC data block, and outputs it to a recording circuit 23 without recording in the magnetic tape 1 by controls of magnetic heads RECA and RECB. Audio data DA2 take a timing with video data by a video and audio processing circuit 14, the encoder 20 generates the data block and outputs it to the recording circuit 23. When an in point arrives, a selection circuit 15 is made to be on the side of a processing circuit 14 and to generate the ECC data block for connecting reproducing and edit video data by having the in point form a boundary.
