To provide a vise device which can immediately perform tightening without requiring a preliminary adjustment of the distance between the jaws.

The vise device comprises, on one hand, a frame 1 provided with a gripping part 10 of a fixed type and a rack part, the rack being disposed in the plane perpendicular to the gripping part 10 of a fixed type, and on the other hand, a main body 3 and a movable jaw 2 provided with a gripping part 4 of a movable type which is movable relative to the main body; the jaw 2 has the possibility of being clamped on the rack through a movable pin 6 in the main body 3 provided with a notch 61 at its tip facing the rack, and is of a movable type so as to move in parallel to the rack 12. The movable pin 6 is returned toward the rack 12 by at least one spring 62 and can be operated by a lever hinged to the main body 3. The lever's tip which is hinged is connected with a cam 50 which reclines against the rear part 43 of the gripping part of a movable type, so that it can be spaced from the gripping part of a movable type relative to the main body 3 in the direction of the gripping part 10 of a fixed type.
