Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an upper limit and a lower limit of an oscillated frequency, through application of an external control voltage and moreover to make a frequency ratio of the upper limit to the lower limit of the oscillated frequency equal to the ratio of the control voltages.
SOLUTION: When a control voltage Vctl is set to a prescribed maximum voltage Vmax, a voltage Vo at the connecting point between an emitter of a 1st transistor(TR) 1 and an emitter resistor 25 with a resistance R1 is clamped to the voltage Vmax, and a current Iosc=Vmax/R1 deciding the upper limit of an oscillated frequency is outputted. When the control voltage Vctl is set to a prescribed minimum voltage Vmin, the voltage Vo is clamped to the voltage Vmin, so that the current Iosc=Vmin/R1 is outputted. The frequency ratio of the upper limit to the lower limit of the oscillated frequency is equal to the ratio of the control voltage, when the oscillated frequency is the upper limit to the control voltage and when the oscillated frequency is the lower limit.
