Abstract:
PURPOSE: To execute the continuous compression and volume reduction of an empty can.
CONSTITUTION: Horizontal first, second and third compression shafts 11, 12, 13 are successively provided in a casing 10 having an empty can throw-in port 14 at the upper part and a discharge port 15 at the lower part in the vertically staggered manner, a plurality of spike-shaped projections 11a are provided on the whole area of the outer circumferential surface of the first compression shaft 11, and a plurality of tranverse linear projections 12a are successively provided on the outer circumferential surface of the second compression shaft 12 in the circumferentially staggered manner. The second and third shafts 12, 13 are rotated at the same speed, and the first shaft 11 is rotated a little slowly, and an empty (a) is fed thereinto. The empty can (a) reaches the space between the first and second shafts 11, 12, holes are made in the can by the spike-shaped projections 11a to have the residue removed, and the empty can (a) bitten by the spike-shaped projections 11a by the linear projections 12a is torn off and compressed. The compressed empty can (a) reaches the space between the second and third compression shafts 12, 13, and further compressed to reduce the volume, and discharged from the discharge port.
