PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of mounting work for upper and lower dies by mounting the upper die and the lower die that are different in size with sliding in the mounting grooves that are laid radially in an adapter plate.
CONSTITUTION: On the outer circumferences of the adapter plates 60 and 59 of an upper die 7 and lower die 8 that are shaped like a doughnut notches 60a and 59a for clamping and radial projections 60b and 59b are formed. Mounting grooves 60c and 50c the cross section of which is almost shaped like a T-letter are provided in row through projections 60d and 59d formed on the surfaces of the plates 60 and 59. Further, projections 60e are provided in parallel to the projections 60b, 60d, 59b and 59d, and flow spaces 60f and 59f are provided for the flow of heating and pressurizing medium for vulcanization. Next, the plate 60 is clamped onto an upper die clamping device 53 that is provided on the mounting plate 41 of an upper dome 13, and the plate 59 is clamped to a lower die clamping device 54 that is provided on the side of the vulcanizing machine base 2. The upper and lower dies 7 and 8 are mounted on the plates 60 and 59 through the mounting bolts 31 and 28 in the mounting grooves 60c and 59c onto the plates 60 and 59, and they are superimposed on a mounting plate 41 on the side of the top link 1 of the vulcanizing machine and on a mounting plate 40 on the side of the base 2.
