Abstract:
To prevent runaway of a vehicle due to backward starting when backward starting of the vehicle which has been parked backward, is tried, by warning a driver or stopping an engine of the vehicle.
A microcomputer which receives an input of a position of a shift lever and a speed of the vehicle detects that the vehicle has been parked backward, and, when backward starting of the vehicle is tried, a speaker warns the driver or the engine is stopped only once.
