To provide a washing and drying machine capable of reducing power consumption without discharging humid air to a room and further allowing for drying operation in a reduced drying time.
A method of drying a washing and drying machine comprises at least two steps of a front half drying step and a rear half drying step. In the front half drying step, air passes through an energized Peltier unit and goes into a washing tub in which clothes have been contained and passes through the Peltier unit again to circulate. In the rear half drying step, the energization of the Peltier unit is stopped and air that is contained inside a body of the washing and drying machine is sent to the washing tub in which the clothes have been contained to dry the clothes.
