Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air intrusions into a drain pump and surely drain dehumidification water with a drain pump.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine includes: a heat pump device 30 for heating and dehumidifying air to dry clothing; and a drain pump 70 for draining dehumidification water generated inside the heat pump device 30 to an outside of the heat pump device 30. The drain pump 70 has: a pump impeller 74; a pump case 75 including a pump impeller 74; a pump motor 73 for rotationally driving the pump impeller 74. A drain hose 71 connected to the pump case 75 and for guiding dehumidification water to the outside of the heat pump device 30 is provided in a position higher than the position of the pump case 75, and a water storage part 38 having a communication with the pump case 75 is provided in a lower part of the heat pump device 30. The bottom of the water storage part 38 is located at a position higher than the top surface of the pump impeller 74. Thus, the drain pump can be prevented from air intrusion.
