Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a substance having bactericidal action from disappearing by the heat of a heater.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine of this embodiment includes: a tub for accommodating and washing laundry; an air passage communicating with the tub; a blower provided in the air passage and blowing air into the tub; and a heating part provided in the air passage and supplying hot air for drying into the tub by heating the blown air passing through the air passage. Then, it includes generation means for generating a substance having bactericidal action, and it is configured in such a manner that the substance generated by the generation means is supplied into the air passage, and the substance is supplied into the tub by the air blowing action of the blower. Furthermore, it is configured in such a manner that, when performing sterilization, deodorization and drying of the tub and the laundry by supplying the substance and the hot air into the tub, a generating operation by the generation means and a heating operation by the heating part are executed separately.
