Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine capable of performing a drying operation with reduced power consumption while lowering the humidity of air to be discharged into a room in drying.SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine includes: an outer tub whose inside part becomes a drying chamber during drying; a rotary drum or inner tub which is rotatably arranged in the outer tub and which accommodates laundry; a motor which drives the rotary drum or inner tub; a housing which supports the outer tub; and a drying device which is provided in the housing and has a fan and heating means and which blows hot air from a blowing nozzle to the laundry in the rotary drum or inner tub and circulates the hot air by the fan via a ventilation port for flowing air in the outer tub and a dehumidifying mechanism, and an exhaust port which is communicated with the dehumidifying mechanism and exhausts air from the outer tub to outside the housing. In the washing and drying machine, a suction valve is provided to cause the fan to suck the air stored in the housing during a drying operation on an upstream side of the fan of the dehumidifying mechanism. By driving the fan, air in the outer tub is exhausted via the exhaust port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
