Abstract:
To provide a washing and drying machine having a downsized heat pump device, allowing easy maintenance for preventing degradation in drying performance.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine in an embodiment has a housing, a top plate attached thereto to open or close an opening in the top face of the housing, and a heat pump device for use in drying operation to dry laundry in a rotary tub. The washing and drying machine is provided with a heat pump unit disposed between the housing and a water tank, such that the laundry is taken out through the opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
