An electrostatic atomizer 52 has a unit including: a discharge electrode 70 which is formed of a porous material with water absorbability, water retentivity and suck-up characteristic, and whose front end projects to the inner part of a circulation air passage 43; a water retention material 67 which is formed of a porous material with water retentivity, is arranged to contact the base end of the discharge electrode 70, and supplies the held water to the discharge electrode 70; a water storage tank 72 for storing water to be supplied to the discharge electrode 70; a water absorbing member 69 which is formed of a porous material with water absorbability, water retentivity and suck-up characteristic, has a part contacting the water retention material 67 and a part contacting the water in the water storage tank 72, and supplies the water in the water storage tank 72 to the water retention material 67; and a conductive rod 71 for negatively charging the discharge electrode 70 by applying a negative high-voltage. The electrostatic atomizer is removably arranged in the circulation air passage 43 and positioned leeward of filters 55 and 56.
