Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine capable of, when detecting the foam during washing or draining, discharging foam having invaded the upstream portion of a drying air channel and preventing the foam from being attached to drying components such as a drying filter in a subsequent step, to prevent the occurrence of troubles such as filter wetting and an air passage failure and suppress time and water quantity required for removing the foam.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine 100 includes a water tank 2 and a rotary drum 3 inside an outer casing 1. To a suction side of an air-blow fan 70 disposed in the inside upper portion of the outer casing 1, connected is a lead-out pipe. To the lead-out pipe, connected is a lead-out duct 60 communicating with the water tank 2. When a foam detection circuit detects the existence of foam inside a lead-out duct 60 during washing, an operation control part 8 controls to switch a water-supply valve 51 to a third water supply outlet during draining, feed water to the lead-out duct 60 from a water supply nozzle 57 via a sub-water supply pipe 56, and discharge the foam to the outside via a drain hose 28.
