To prevent a clutch mechanism from being broken by detecting the rotating state of a motor by a plurality of rotation-detecting means, and even when an abnormality occurs on one of the rotation-detecting means, the other means detects the rotation, and prohibiting a clutch operation while the motor is rotating; and to increase safety and reliability for a wasting machine which drives the motor by an inverter circuit.
DC power of a rectification circuit 2 which is connected with an AC power source 1 is inverted into AC power by the inverter circuit 3, and the motor 4 is driven. By the motor 4, an agitating blade or a washing-cum- dehydrating tub is driven. The rotor position of the motor 4 is detected by a rotor position-detecting means 5, and the rotation of the rotor is detected by a counter electromotive force-detecting means 7. Then, the inverter circuit 3 is controlled by a controlling means 6, and a motor shaft output is transmitted and switched to the agitating blade or the washing-cum-dehydrating tub by a clutch mechanism 12. The controlling means 6 controls the clutch mechanism 12 by the rotor position-detecting means 5 and the counter electromotive force- detecting means 7.
