Abstract:

To prevent a generation of continuous vibration by which a water tub hits an outer case during a washing process in a vertical axis type washing machine.

A washing machine includes: a water tub that is swingably arranged in an outer case; a vertical axis type rotary tub that is rotatably arranged around a vertical axis in the water tub and is configured to wash and dewater laundry accommodated inside; an agitator that is rotatably arranged in the rotary tub and is configured to be rotated by a motor during washing to agitate laundry; an acceleration sensor that is provided in the water tub and is configured to detect vibration of the water tub; and control means for controlling the motor. The control means changes the control contents for the motor when a detection value by the acceleration sensor exceeds a preliminarily set threshold during a washing process in which the agitator is rotated by the motor.
