Abstract:
To perform sterilization and deodorization of laundry accumulated in a washing tub between the time when the laundry is inputted in the washing tub and the time when washing is performed.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: an active oxygen generation unit 25 for generating active oxygen; a door opening/closing detection unit 12 for detecting opening/closing of a door 11 for inputting/taking out laundry 5; a clothes detection unit 39 for detecting presence/absence of the laundry 5 in a washing tub 4; a humidity detection unit 27 for detecting the humidity in the washing tub 4; a dehumidifying unit 26 for dehumidifying the washing tub 4; a blower unit 24 for circulating air through an air passage 23 for connecting the washing tub 4 and the dehumidifying unit 26 so as to communicate; and a control unit 38. While an operation is stopped, when the control unit 38 detects that the door 11 is closed by the door opening/closing detection unit 12, it drives the blower unit 24, and when the humidity detected by the humidity detection unit 27 is equal to or higher than a predetermined value, it performs dehumidification, and when the humidity drops to the predetermined value or lower, it supplies active oxygen to the washing tub 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
