Abstract:
To provide a washing machine that is provided with a detergent feeder and is capable of appropriately executing a presoak process.SOLUTION: The washing machine comprises: a detergent feeder for automatically feeding a detergent into a washing tub; a dirt degree detector for detecting a degree of dirt of washing water in the washing tub; and a controller for executing a washing operation by controlling each device. The washing machine is configured to be able to execute a presoak course comprising a presoak process for soaking laundry for a specified period of time in washing water obtained by dissolving a detergent in water in the washing tub before executing a main washing operation. Also, when the presoak course is executed, the controller executes a dirt degree sensing process for detecting a dirt degree of washing water by the dirt degree detector before starting the presoak process, and executes an additional feeding of the detergent by the detergent feeder on the basis of the detection result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
