In the washing machine 200, a heater is driven, and a drying fan is rotationally driven, so that air heated by the heater is supplied into a water tub 214 through a supply air duct 212. Therefore, in the washing machine 200, the drying step is performed for drying a washed object in the water tub 214. In the drying step, oscillation of an oscillator is appropriately controlled, and the dried object is dried while mist is supplied in the water tub 214. In the drying step, when the temperature in the vicinity of a mist generator 100 exceeds a first temperature, driving of the heater is stopped, and when the temperature in the vicinity of the mist generator 100 is at or less than a second temperature lower than the first temperature, driving of the heater is started again.
