To provide a waste paper pulp especially suitable for paper making of an exterior liner or a core material by effectively removing remaining plaster or scrap of building from waste paper of a plaster board which is conventionally impossible to recycle.
The waste paper pulp is obtained by subjecting a waste paper material consisting mainly of the waste paper pulp of plaster board, to defibrillation at a defibrillating concentration of 3-18 mass% and a pH of 6.0-7.0, and then obtaining the waster paper pulp containing plaster component after the defibrillating step, subjecting the waste paper pulp containing plaster component to the refining step mainly composed of treatment using a cleaner, and then subjecting the refined product through the refining step to dewatering concentration treatment in the dewatering concentration step.
