Title:
WATER COOLER FOR STATOR WINDING OF ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01177845
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately detect the deterioration of a main insulator and an insulation tube by mounting the insulators between a header and an out water supply/discharge tube, and between the header and a stator frame, and setting the header to the same potential as that of the stator winding.

CONSTITUTION: In a device for supplying coolant from a header 6 secured to a stator frame 1 through an insulation tube 5 to a stator winding end 4, an insulation flange 8 is interposed between the header 6 and an out water supply/ discharge tube 7. Further, an insulator 9 is also interposed between the header 6 and the frame 1. Thus, when the insulating resistances of the main insulator and the tube 9 are measured, the header 6 is set to the same potential as that of the end 4, and no current flows to the coolant in the tube 9. Accordingly, even if the water is not discharged, the deterioration of the insulator can be accurately detected.
