A water jet type removing device 100 for road surface has a jet body 101 for jetting high-pressure water toward a road surface G held by a rotating pulley 106 through a jet body holder 105. The rotating pulley 106 is connected to a rotary driving pulley 111 through a plane belt 110 while supported rotatably by a swinging pulley 114 through a bearing 109. The swinging pulley 114 is a machine element for rotating and displacing the rotating pulley 106 around a position different from a center O₁ of rotation of the rotating pulley 106 as a center O₂ of rotation, and connected to a swing driving pulley 117 through a plane belt 116 while supported rotatably by a pulley holder 122 through a bearing 115. The pulley holder 122 is supported by a moving body 123 as a truck.
