Title:
WATER-PERMEABLE ARTIFICIAL TURF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05346005
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide artificial turf having water permeability, stable strength, and durability and hardly washed away with the sand scattered on the pile face to the underground.

CONSTITUTION: A ground fabric 15 woven with filament yarn used for warps 11 and wefts 13 and having gaps 13 with the gap width (g) of 0.3mm or above and larger than the size (p) of the warp 11 between the warps 11 (g≥0.3mm, g≥p) is tufted at the tuft gauge G forming one pile stitch row for (n) warps 11 (n≥2) and at the tuft stitch S forming one pile gauge row 19 for (m) wefts 13 (m≥2) so that the product (n×g) of the number (n) of warps 11 contained in one tuft gauge (1G) and the gap width (g) between the warps 11 is made twice the size (d) of a pile yarn 16 or above (n×g≥2d≥1mm). The texture of the ground fabric 15 before tufting is spread by pile pieces 16, 17 and deformed into oblong slit holes, and water-permeable holes required for the water permeability of artificial turf are formed there.
