Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyvinyl alcohol-based water-soluble film which has excellent solubility in cold water, high solubility especially in packaging a fiber softening agent and no reduction in solubility with time and a package packaging the fiber softening agent.
SOLUTION: The water-soluble film comprises a vinyl alcohol-based polymer which contains a vinyl alcohol unit, a vinyl ester-based monomer unit and a nonionic monomer unit in the main chain of the molecule and satisfies formula (I) 75≤X≤90 (I), formula (II) 0≤Z≤10 (II) and formula (III) 100×Z+100≤P≤(X-93)2×16/3+300 (III) (X is the content (mol%) of the vinyl alcohol unit; Z is the content (mol%) of the nonionic monomer unit; P is the degree of polymerization of the vinyl alcohol-based polymer).
