PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment hollow braid, a hollow braid module, a water treatment method using the same, and a manufacturing method of ballast water, capable of executing filtration treatment at a high speed on a large quantity of object water, and capable of efficiently removing a removal object substance such as a microorganism.SOLUTION: The water treatment hollow braid 10 is a hollow braid, and has a thick part 12 having a pore and has an average hole diameter of the pore of 10-50 μm. The hollow braid module is provided by converging the water treatment hollow braid 10. The water treatment method executes the filtration treatment by permeating the object water inside from the outside of the hollow braid by using the hollow braid module of the present invention. The manufacturing method of the ballast water executes the filtration treatment on the ballast water by the water treatment method of the present invention.
