To provide a water vapor permeable film for a package preserving freshness which can easily achieve desirable water vapor permeability, having excellent flexibility, tightness to microorganism, dirt and the like, and can be made thin.
This water vapor permeable film is made from a resin composition comprising a polypropylene resin (A) and a polyurethane resin, in which the polypropylene resin (A) is 25 to 75 wt.% and the polyurethane resin is 75 to 25 wt.% in the total of both resins, and the polypropylene resin (A) has a weight average molecular weight of 80,000 to 500,000 and amounts of eluted resin by the cross fractionation chromatography being 45 to 80 wt.% for 10°C or lower, 5 to 35 wt.% for over 10°C and 70°C or lower, 1 to 30 wt.% for over 70°C and 95°C or lower, and 3 to 35 wt.% for over 95°C and 125°C or lower.
