Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weave a three-dimensional fiber texture and obtain a filter containing many spaces in the texture and having excellent quality by setting plural adjacent sections as a carrier-moving space and rotating a carrier in the carrier space unit.
SOLUTION: Carriers 1-3 arranged in the form of a matrix are moved in lateral and longitudinal directions to weave a three-dimensional fiber texture. In the above process, four sections adjacent to each other are set as a carrier moving space 10 and carriers 1-3 are rotated in the carrier space unit. Preferably, the next carrier moving space 11 is set by shifting the carrier moving space 10 by one section in longitudinal and lateral directions and the rotating operation is alternately carried out in the carrier moving space 10 and the next carrier moving space 11 to weave a three-dimensional fiber texture. Preferably, woven layers 21g, 22g are formed interposing a definite space in the longitudinal direction of fiber and the yarns 21p and 22p crossing in the layers 21g and 22g are bonded or welded with each other.
