Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft yarn holding device which can shorten a weft yarn used outside a product and can save energy.SOLUTION: The present device is a weft yarn holding device 3 for holding a leading end side 2a of a weft yarn 2 weft-inserted in a jet loom 1, and includes: a holding body 11 which is supported by a shaft part in a displaceable manner so as to approach and separate from the front side of a reed 4; an energizing member 12 which energizes the holding body in a direction in which the holding body approaches the front side of the reed; and a restricting member 13 which restricts the approach of the holding body to the front side of the reed when the reed retreats after the completion of beating. When the reed moves forward when beating, the leading end side of the weft yarn weft-inserted is held between the holding body and the reed by the energizing force of the energizing member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
