PURPOSE: To provide an easy-to-use self-standing stand of a wheel barrow by pivoting a left and a right stand member on a left and a right fork foot in such a way as possible to swing round a horizontal shaft, and detaining these stand members with each other in the accommodated condition at the time of upward rotation.

CONSTITUTION: Each stand member 16 to be fitted to a wheel barrow is composed of a left and a right base 17A, 17B approx. in the form of a channel and supporting legs 18A, 18B rising from these bases and situated on the sides of the wheel 6. Two detent pieces 19 in the form of bent leaf spring are fixed to the inner side-face of one of the bases 17A, while the other base 17B is provided with a detent hole 20 with which this detent piece 19 is detainable. The tops of the support legs 18A, 18B are borne by a stand mounting member 22 the fork foot 3 of the wheel barrow in such a way as rotatable round a horizontal shaft 28, and when they 18A, 18B are rotated to the accommodation position situated above, it shall be possible to hold them in the accommodation position by means of detention of the detent piece 19 with the detent hole 20.
