To provide a winding apparatus of filament that surely prevents a filament wound around a winding drum from being loosened and from diverging from the winding drum upon contacting of a suspended member with an obstacle without providing the stopping mechanism at detecting the obstacle.

A winding apparatus of filament comprises a main roller 14 rotatably attached to a bracket and a winding drum 16 fitted with the main roller. A filament 12 is wound by the winding drum with the upper end of the filament being attached to the winding drum and the lower end of the filament being attached to a suspended member to be subjected 11, and the apparatus comprises main roller driving means for rotating the main roller. In addition, the winding apparatus comprises an auxiliary roller 27 provided such that the auxiliary roller is in contact with most outer circumference surface of the filament wound around the outer circumference of the winding drum. The winding apparatus comprises a pressing spring 28 provided in the winding drum, rotatably holding the auxiliary roller and providing a pushing force of the auxiliary roller for pushing the filament to the winding drum. In addition, auxiliary roller driving means 29 rotates the auxiliary roller as the rotation of the winding drum such that the auxiliary roller is rotated on the most outer circumference surface of the filament.
