PURPOSE: To achieve a high speed winding operation with high reliability when winding a photograph film into cartridge 29 by housing a spool full of wound film into a half open cylindrical shell plate forming the cartridge.
CONSTITUTION: In the process of production, a shell plate 26 formed by rounding a single plate and provided with teremps 24, 25 attached on both ends is held by a chuck etc., and after being closed once (A), it is made in the state (B) opened by a half. Then the spool 22 or 23, which is previously wound with the film 27 or 28, is placed into said shell plate 26 and formed in the specified shape (C). Then, caps 21, 21' are fitted on both opening ends of the shell plate 6, thus complating the disired cartridge 29. Above process should be parallel with intermittent transfer of the shell plate 26, and the process of housing them into the half open shell plate 26 should be alternately performed, for example, form two stations.
