To quickly return a wiper blade to a storage position without operating a wiper switch, when the wiper blade is stopped in a midway of a windshield or a rear glass when electric power is fed.
When a driver turns off an ignition switch 2 forgetting to turn off the wiper switch 7, electric power supply to a motor 1 is interrupted in this point of time, and the wiper blade is stopped at an unexpected position. That is, a position determining switch 6 is left in a condition of a drive area. When the driver notices the forgetting of the turn-off to turn off the wiper switch 7 and when the ignition switch 2 is thereafter turned on again for drive, a drive circuit 4 inputs a signal of the drive area condition from the position determining switch 6 to output a signal of a high level irrespective of the turn- off condition of the wiper switch 7, and a transistor 5 is brought thereby into an ON-condition to drive the motor 1.
