Abstract:
To provide a wire electric discharge machining device comprising rollers in which chips hardly accumulate in grooves on their surface parts compared to conventional rollers, and thereby maintaining constant machining precision and improving production efficiency.SOLUTION: Provided is a wire electric discharge machining device 2 for processing a workpiece W according to electric discharge between a wire 16 and the workpiece W. The wire electric discharge machining device 2 comprises: main rollers 12 and 12 across which the wire 16 is laid; a first guide roller 20; and a second guide roller 24. The main rollers 12 and 12, the first guide roller 20 and the second guide roller 24 comprise grooves on their surface parts 28, 32 and 36 into which the wire 16 is inserted. The surface parts 28, 32 and 36 are formed of a material containing molecules not having a functional group with polarity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
