To provide a wiring harness excessive length storing apparatus which can relieve the bending fatigue of a wiring harness and improve the reliability of the wiring and, further, realize its dimensional reduction.

An excessive length of a wiring harness 10 has a first oblique side 13 on a fixed end side 11 and a second oblique side 15 on a movable end side 17, and first to third twisting axes 12, 16, and 14 formed at respective joints are held by first to third wiring harness holding parts 24, 28, and 26, respectively. If a moving object, for instance, a tilting mechanism of a steering column of a car, a telescopic mechanism, or the like, is made to operate, the wiring harness 10 is pulled by the movable side 17 accordingly, the second wiring hardness holding part 28 is guided by a long guide channel 23 and moved in that direction, and the excessive length is expanded with the first to third twisting axes 12, 16, and 14 as the axes of twisting. When the operation of the moving object is stopped, the excessive length is contracted and restored into an original shape.
