To provide a wood chopping machine, which facilitates supplying log wood and is suitable for saving power, which can positively chop wood as power of a pressurizing cylinder such as a hydraulic cylinder is effectively applied, with which it is easy to pay attention and make arrangements, which has superior workability and working efficiency, and which is suitable for saving power and energy.

On a main base on which a pressurizing cylinder such as a hydraulic cylinder or an electric cylinder is mounted, a wood chopping area having a table height on which log wood can be placed is provided in front of the pressurizing cylinder. In the wood chopping area, a pressing blade and a receiving blade are provided relatively opposing each other in the front and rear to sandwich the log wood. On the main base, a propulsion shaft with the pressing blade is movably supported in the forward and backward direction. A booster mechanism using a lever is interposed between the propulsion shaft and the pressurizing cylinder in the rear thereof. The pressurizing cylinder makes the pressing blade to advance and recede via the booster mechanism.
