Abstract:
To provide a wood-chopping machine that is able to reduce manpower required for a wood-chopping work and manufacture a firewood at a low cost.SOLUTION: A wood-chopping machine 10 includes: a carry-in conveyor 11 capable of conveying a raw wood A in a posture in which an axis extends along a conveying direction Fb; a log storing portion 12 that is adjacent to a carry-out portion 11b of the carry-in conveyor and configured so that a log B of a predetermined length can be stored in a posture in which the axis extends along the conveying direction, and has an ejecting portion 12c sideways; cutting mechanism 13 that cuts the raw wood along a cross section intersecting the axis, between the carry-out portion and the log storing portion and configured to form the log; and a wood-chopping mechanism 14 that is adjacent to the ejecting portion of the log storing portion and includes a receiving portion 14a for receiving the log, a log placing portion 14b on which the log received from the receiving portion is placed, a wood-chopping blade 14d disposed on one side in an axial direction of the log placing portion, an opposite portion 14e disposed so as to face the wood-chopping blade on the other side of the axial direction, and a drive source 14f capable of relatively bringing the wood-chopping blade and the opposite portion close to and apart from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
